Emergent builds autonomous coding agents that replace traditional software development by generating, testing, and deploying production applications directly from plain-language intent. Our systems run in production at global scale and are used to build millions of real applications.

Since our public launch, we've crossed $130M in Annualised Revenue and grown to over 10M users across 190+ countries, who have built 12M+ applications on Emergent. We're backed by Creaegis, Khosla Ventures, SoftBank, Lightspeed, Together, Y Combinator, Google, Claypond and Sentinel Global.

We're solving the hard part of AI-driven software creation: correctness, reliability, security, and scale in real production systems. The team is built by repeat founders, Olympiad medalists, IIT & IIM alumni, and leaders from Google, Amazon, and Dropbox.

The Role:
We're hiring a PR Lead to own how Emergent shows up in the press worldwide. This role sits on the Brand and Communications team, reports to the Head of Brand, and is based in Bengaluru (in-person). You'll build real relationships with global media, own the founder's external presence, and write and defend the company narrative across every market we play in.

What You'll Do:

• Global media relationships: build and hold real relationships with tech, business, and consumer reporters across the US, UK, India, and Southeast Asia. Reporters who know your name and call you before they publish
• Founder brand: own the founder's external pipeline end-to-end, including podcasts, keynotes, panels, op-eds, and on-record interviews. You decide what he says yes to, and you prep him properly for every one
• Narrative ownership: write and defend the company story. What Emergent is, who it's for, why now, and what we refuse to claim. Everyone from support to investors tells the same story without a script
• Podcasts and long-form: treat the podcast circuit as a primary channel, not overflow. Know the shows, the hosts, and which conversation puts us in front of the right audience
• Launches and moments: own the announcement calendar, embargoes, exclusives, and the call on who gets a story first, across product launches, funding, partnerships, and Builder Fest
• Proof stories: find operators running real businesses on Emergent and get them in front of journalists. The strongest press we get is about a user, not about us
• Reputation and crisis: build the plan before it's needed, and be the calm voice when it is

What Success Looks Like:

• Tier-one earned coverage: feature or substantive mentions in target global outlets per quarter, excluding funding news
• Share of voice: Emergent's share against named category competitors in tier-one press, tracked quarterly
• Message pull-through: percentage of coverage that carries our framing rather than the toy framing
• Founder presence: podcasts and stages booked per quarter, weighted by reach and relevance, not count
• Inbound source rate: stories we're quoted in that we did not pitch
• Customer stories placed: operator-led stories landed per quarter
• Crisis readiness: response plan live, spokesperson bench trained, and time-to-statement under target

What We're Looking For:

• Minimum 8+ years in PR or communications, with real time in consumer tech and at least some of it in-house
• Placements you built yourself in outlets like The Verge, TechCrunch, WSJ, Bloomberg, FT, Wired, and The Information. Be ready to separate what you made happen from what came inbound
• A live, current network of reporters and podcast producers. We will ask you to name names
• Strong, fast writer: op-eds, message houses, and statements under pressure, in a voice that isn't corporate mush
• Judgment about what is actually a story. Most company news isn't, and you'll say so
• Comfortable across markets that behave nothing alike. Indian and US tech press are different sports
• You can sit with a founder, disagree with him, and be right
