Job Description

As a Lead Engineer for Power Quality Products, you will be the technical lead responsible for the successful execution of projects from order intake through to final delivery. You will own the technical integrity of the solution, ensuring that what was promised to the customer is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will act as the key interface between customers, internal project management, factories, and external vendors, managing technical dimensioning, component procurement, and final documentation.

Key Responsibilities

Post-Order Execution: Take ownership of the project engineering phase immediately upon order intake. Ensure all technical requirements are fulfilled according to the contract and project schedule.

Technical Dimensioning: Perform detailed system engineering, including sizing and dimensioning of Reactive Power Compensation (RPC) equipment to ensure compliance with customer technical specifications and grid code requirements.

Vendor & Factory Liaison: Serve as the technical primary point of contact for factories and third-party vendors. Manage equipment specifications, monitor production progress, and ensure quality control during manufacturing.

Project Management Support: Collaborate closely with Project Managers to maintain project timelines. Provide technical status updates, identify potential bottlenecks, and proactively resolve engineering-related issues.

Customer Interface: Act as the technical face of the project for the customer. Lead technical meetings, manage design approvals, and ensure customer satisfaction regarding the delivered hardware and documentation.

Documentation & Quality: Oversee the creation of all required project documentation, including electrical schematics, assembly manuals, and test reports. Ensure all deliverables meet internal quality and safety standards.

Problem Solving: Provide expert-level technical troubleshooting should challenges arise during manufacturing, testing, or final project handover.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field from an accredited university or college.

Experience: Some experience in project engineering, product delivery, or technical project management, preferably in Power Quality Products, Power Electronics or High Voltage/Power Transmission/Distribution Systems

Language Skills:

English: Full professional proficiency (essential for international vendor and customer communication).

Finnish: Strong advantage for coordinating with local stakeholders and site operations.

French and/or Spanish and/or German will be an advantage.

Desired Characteristics

Technical Depth: Strong understanding of power systems, reactive power compensation principles, and electrical design/dimensioning.

Collaboration & Negotiation: Proven ability to manage relationships with diverse stakeholders, including factory personnel, external suppliers, and demanding customers.

Deadline Driven: Strong organizational skills with a "delivery-first" mindset. Ability to drive projects forward under tight deadlines.

Analytical & Systematic: High attention to detail; able to synthesize complex technical requirements into actionable manufacturing and assembly instructions.

Leadership: Ability to lead technical discussions, influence factory output, and resolve conflicts in a fast-paced delivery environment.
