
Job Title: PPM Process Senior Specialist – Digital Transformation

The PPM Process Senior Specialist will be responsible for defining, standardizing, and enabling enterprise Project Portfolio Management (PPM) processes across a complex engineering-driven environment. The role will support product development, customer delivery, capital projects, and strategic transformation initiatives while ensuring effective utilization of enterprise solutions including SAP EPPM, SAP S/4HANA, and Microsoft Project Server.
As EDGE Group expands, the role will support the onboarding of new entities and drive the adoption of standardized processes and digital solutions across the organization.
Key Accountabilities
Process & Solution Design
• Design and optimize project and portfolio management processes covering the full lifecycle from opportunity assessment and bid evaluation through execution, change control, and closure.
• Ensure alignment with industry standards such as PMI PMBOK, ISO 21500, and EVMS principles.
• Translate business requirements into functional specifications, workflows, and system configuration guidelines.
Application Enablement & User Support
• Develop system usage standards, templates, governance structures, WBS frameworks, and portfolio taxonomies.
• Guide PMOs, program managers, and controllers on best practices for managing schedules, budgets, resources, risks, and performance metrics.
• Deliver user training, workshops, onboarding sessions, and solution demonstrations.
• Support application management teams with functional expertise and troubleshooting of critical issues.
Integration & Data Governance
• Ensure integration between PPM and ERP platforms to enable accurate project controls, financial tracking, and reporting.
• Support data governance activities, master data integrity, and portfolio controls.
• Contribute to KPI and dashboard development for portfolio performance, earned value, schedule adherence, and benefits realization.
Implementation & Continuous Improvement
• Lead discovery and process design activities for PPM-related transformation initiatives.
• Support SIT, UAT, cutover planning, and deployment activities.
• Gather stakeholder feedback and continuously improve business processes and system capabilities.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential
• Degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• 5–7+ years of experience in enterprise project and portfolio management process design within engineering, manufacturing, aerospace, defense, or similar complex environments.
• Strong hands-on expertise with Microsoft Project Server, SAP S/4HANA PS (including SD/MM integration), and SAP EPPM.
• Proven experience acting as a functional bridge between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams.
• Experience implementing PPM processes and solutions within digital transformation programs.
• Strong capability in training, mentoring, and supporting end users.
• Ability to develop process documentation, workflows, and functional specifications.
Preferred
• Experience with EVMS compliance, ITAR/EAR controls, and aerospace or defense program governance.
• Knowledge of digital transformation within engineering organizations, including digital thread and digital twin concepts.
• Strong analytical, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
