Bugatti Rimac, part of the Rimac Group, brings together two forces that have redefined the automotive world. By combining Rimac’s cutting-edge electric performance and innovation with Bugatti’s 110+ year legacy of crafting iconic hypercars, we are pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in automotive engineering.
Our team is at the core of this, we work with passion, aim for excellence, and take ownership of what we do. We grow together, pioneer solutions, and deliver vehicles that set new standards.
As a Powertrain Systems CFD Engineer, you will develop and apply advanced 3D CFD methodologies for powertrain fluid and thermal systems.
Working across powertrain, aerothermal, design and testing teams, you will drive robust thermal-fluid solutions, ensuring accurate virtual validation and strong correlation with experimental results.
You will love this role if you enjoy hands-on CFD work, solving complex multiphase problems and influencing powertrain system design through simulation.
Where you’ll make an impact
Develop and apply 3D CFD methodologies for powertrain fluid circuits (cooling, oil, fuel)
Perform simulations for thermal management, lubrication, cavitation, aerationand pressure losses assessment
Conduct sloshing and multiphase simulations for tanks and reservoirs
Apply meshless methods (SPH / MPS) for free-surface and oil–air interaction modeling
Support cooling system design and optimization (radiators, pumps, piping and thermostats)
Analyze CFD results to improve robustness, durability and efficiency of powertrain systems
Support validation strategies, testing and correlation activities
Prepare and present technical reports and recommendations to stakeholders
What are your core components
3–7 years of experience in CFD simulation for thermal-fluid or powertrain systems
Expertise with CFD tools (STAR-CCM+, Fluent, OpenFOAM or similar)
Strong knowledge of fluid dynamics and multiphase flows
Deep understanding of cooling systems, thermal management, oil and fuel circuits
Experience with sloshing, free-surface modeling, cavitation and aeration phenomena
Experience with meshless solvers (SPH / MPS) is a plus
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Ability to work cross-functionally and mentor junior engineers
Fuel Package
Salary range: €37 500 -57 500 gross per year (depending on experience)

Rimac Automobili is one part of Bugatti Rimac. With Rimac Group as its majority shareholder, Bugatti Rimac brings together Rimac’s distinctive agility, technical expertise and cutting-edge innovation in the EV sphere, with Bugatti’s 115-year heritage of design and engineering some of the world’s most iconic hypercars. Founded in 2009 by Mate Rimac, the Rimac brand created the world’s first all-electric hypercar, the Concept_One, in 2011. In 2018, Rimac revealed the next-generation all-electric hypercar – C_Two – which would evolve into the Nevera. Rimac’s global headquarters is located at Rimac Group’s new base, the €200M, 100.000 m2 Rimac Campus, also serving as the home of Rimac Technology.
