As a Powertrain Performance & Emissions Simulation Engineer, you will develop, validate, and maintainaccurate 1D simulation models for powertrain performance, combustion, and emissions, including engine-out and aftertreatment systems.
Working across powertrain, vehicle, controls, and testing teams, you will ensure robust predictive capability and strong correlation between simulation and experimental results.

Where you’ll make an impact
Develop and maintain 1D models for ICE performance, combustion and emissions
Build fast-running and real-time capable models to support vehicle performance development and XiL applications
Continuously improve modeling of combustion, air path, fuel systems and aftertreatment
Integrate powertrain performance and emissions models into full vehicle simulation environments
Use GT‑ SUITE and MATLAB/Simulink for model development, calibration and analysis
Support testing activities, including emissions instrumentation and measurement strategies
Correlate simulation results with experimental data and improve predictive accuracy
Prepare and present technical reports on performance, fuel consumption, and emissions compliance
What are your core components
5–10 years of experience in powertrain performance, combustion and emissions simulation
Proven expertise with GT‑ SUITE and MATLAB/Simulink
Strong understanding of internal combustion engine fundamentals and calibration
Deep knowledge of engine‑ out emissions (NOx, CO, HC, PM/PN) and aftertreatment systems (TWC, GPF)
Experience with real‑ time models and model reduction techniques
Understanding of vehicle integration aspects, including driveline and thermal systems
Strong analytical, problem‑ solving and communication skills
Experience working in cross‑ functional environments and mentoring junior engineers

Salary range: €37500 – €57500 gross per year (depending on experience)
