
We are seeking a strategic and experienced Powertrain Controls Test Infrastructure Supervisor to lead the development, deployment, and continuous improvement of our critical test infrastructure and tools. This leadership role oversees the foundational elements enabling efficient and robust software verification and validation across SIL and HIL environments. A key responsibility includes acting as the business owner for the Tracetronic toolchain (ECU.Test and others), driving its adoption across Ford, and managing the strategic vendor relationship, including ELA terms. This supervisor will guide a team focused on ALM tool integration, test automation platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and physical/virtual lab environments, ensuring scalability, reliability, and optimal performance to support high-quality automotive software delivery.
Tracetronic Toolchain Business Ownership: Serve as the business owner for the Tracetronic toolchain, defining its strategic roadmap, driving organizational adoption, and managing vendor relationships including ELA negotiations.
Strategic Infrastructure Leadership: Lead the vision, design, and implementation of robust test infrastructure, driving the enablement of SIL as a testing platform and increasing test coverage in collaboration with SWDV (SW design verification) teams. This encompasses ALM tools, test automation platforms (e.g., ECU.Test), HIL CI/CD pipelines, and physical/virtual lab environments.
Automation & Tooling Development: Direct the enhancement of HIL IO automation, integration of testing tools, and development of foundational test capabilities to maximize efficiency.
Data & Process Optimization: Oversee critical data management (e.g., SQL mapping databases, github repos) and drive process improvements for bug management and operational workflows to enable data-driven decisions.
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
7+ years in test infrastructure or software engineering, with 3+ years in a leadership role within the automotive industry.
5+ expertise in Tracetronic tools (ECU.Test), ALM systems, test automation, and CI/CD principles.
5+ years demonstrated ability to lead technical teams, drive strategic initiatives, and influence stakeholders.
Preferred:
Master's degree in a relevant field.
Experience with automotive communication protocols and Ford vehicle architectures.

This position is leadership level 6 and ranges from $112,680-212,760.
Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.
