Job Description

PowerBI Consultant

Experience: 6-8

Location: Onsite Bangalore

  • Ensure SLA-based performance and availability of PowerBI infrastructure.
  • Performance Optimization: Debug and resolve PowerBI dashboard performance issues, focusing on improving efficiency.
  • Cost Optimization: Lead initiatives to optimize costs associated with PowerBI and reporting.
  • Capacity Planning & Scaling: Analyze PowerBI capacity, regularly review and optimize it, and provide data-driven recommendations for upgrades.Collaboration & Stakeholder Management: Work with multiple teams, including BI designers, data engineers, and Microsoft support, to troubleshoot and resolve BI-related issues.
  • BI Design & Community Engagement: Share BI design knowledge within In our BI community and guide best practices.
  • DAX Query Optimization: Be well-versed with DAX queries, optimizing them for performance and cost efficiency.
  • Data Warehouse (DWH) Optimization: Review and optimize BI reports from the underlying DWHs cost perspective by reducing complex queries.
  • Incident Management & Support: Address and debug BI issues raised by designers, liaising with Microsoft support for resolutions.
  • Infrastructure Performance Analysis: Identify performance challenges related to PowerBI infrastructure capacity, providing data-driven justifications for infra scaling and measuring improvements.
  • Technical Documentation: Maintain high service availability and ensure all processes are well-documented.
  • Communication: Provide clear updates to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Qualifications & Skills:6 to 8 years of experience in PowerBI system .
  • Administration with a strong focus on infrastructure management.
  • Strong expertise in PowerBI architecture, performance tuning, and debugging dashboards.
  • Proven experience in PowerBI administration, capacity analysis, and optimization
  • Proficiency in DAX queries and PowerBI performance improvement techniques.
  • Ability to review and optimize BI reports while minimizing data warehouse query costs.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Support to troubleshoot and resolve PowerBI-related issues.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to provide data-driven recommendations for infrastructure improvements
