Job Description

We are seeking a PowerBI Lead to join our dynamic Tech, Data & AI team. The ideal candidate is an inspirational expert, problem-solving oriented with strong analytical thinking. You will be defining the standards of the BI engineering practice, including but not limited to reporting standards, quality gates, guidelines and guardrails for an efficient management of the BI landscape, while ensuring strict adherence of the organization to these standards. You will be accountable for managing the central PowerBI platform in close collaboration with the Business Intelligence teams and self-service users, while supporting the overall reporting landscape migration and simplification.

Key duties and responsibilities


Under the responsibility of a Data Platform Lead, your mission will be to:

1. Manage the PowerBI stack by administrating the platform, defining and ensuring a clean architecture of projects, access management and delivery process while ensuring its successful utilization across SCOR.
2. Provide technical guidance, define standards for PowerBI developments to secure the robustness of delivery, production releases and ensure the quality of work is aligned with state-of-the art best practices.
3. Support BI engineering transformation by reviewing the current BI landscape, identifying migration strategies, assessing complexity and supporting the execution of this transformation.
4. Tackle key technical questions linked to reporting, such as identifying the right tools and technologies for given use cases, secure sharing of reports, on-the-fly vs precomputed datamarts, audit trails, etc.
5. Support teams by helping them grow their skills and autonomy on PowerBI while keeping up to date with latest technologies development (AI for BI, automated insights, etc.).
6. Collaborate with business, tech, data & AI stakeholders by participating to workshops or rituals (design sessions, PI plannings, sprint reviews) to ensure continuous, meaningful evolutions linked to the reporting ecosystem.

Required experience & competencies:


• +7 years of experience as a data, BI or analytics engineer, with solid experience in intervening in complex, scattered BI / reporting ecosystems
• Proven experience in intervening on the different aspects of a BI / reporting ecosystem, including requirements scoping, development of reports / datamarts, maintenance of existing reports, platform administration and/or upgrade
• Proven experience in working on BI migration projects and ability to demonstrate success factors of such programs.
• Proven experience in working in regulated environments and managing auditors.
• Experience in (Re)insurance industry and / or Financial Services is a strong plus

Technical Skills :

• Strong level in SQL, with proven experience in designing datamarts, cubes and/or universes and implement reports using best practices such as decisional modeling, slowly changing dimensions…
• Strong level in PowerBI.
• Provence experience in both developing, maintaining dashboards and administrating a BI platform (PowerBI, Tableau, Business Objects…)
• Knowledge of data management and data privacy topics is a must have
• Experience with Palantir Foundry and/or Python is a plus
• Hands-on experience with AI for BI is a plus

Required Education


· Bachelor's degree in computer science, software or computer engineering, applied math, physics, statistics, or a related field or equivalent experience
