PowerBI Developer

Minimum Requirements:

• Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
• Experience: Proven experience as a Power BI Developer or similar role, with a strong portfolio of dashboards and reports.

Other Requirements and Competencies

• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.
  • Strong knowledge of DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) for data manipulation and calculation.
  • Experience with data modeling, ETL processes, and SQL.
  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and tools.
• Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Experience with other Microsoft tools (e.g., Azure, SQL Server, Excel).
• Knowledge of data visualization best practices and UI/UX principles.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies.

Responsibilities:

• Data Modeling: Design, develop, and maintain data models to support reporting and analytics requirements.
• Report Development: Create interactive and visually appealing dashboards and reports in Power BI based on business requirements.
• Data Integration: Connect Power BI to various data sources, including databases, APIs, and Excel files, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
• Performance Optimization: Optimize reports and dashboards for performance and usability, applying best practices in data visualization.
• Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, present findings, and provide insights based on data analysis.
• Documentation: Maintain documentation of data sources, reports, and procedures to ensure transparency and consistency.
• Training and Support: Provide training and support to end-users on how to use Power BI effectively
