Job Description

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Working experience in insurance reporting, including analyzing and visualizing data.
  • Connect various data sources, import and transform data for Business Intelligence purposes.
  • Build BI solutions while leveraging data analysis techniques and industry best practices.
  • Develop, publish, and schedule Power BI reports in alignment with business requirements.
  • Design visual reports, dashboards, and KPI scorecards using Power BI Desktop
  • Apply transformations, filters, prompts, calculated fields, sets, groups, parameters, graphs, and forecasts effectively in Tableau.
  • Utilize geo codes for map layouts and maintain expertise in action filters, LODs (Level of Detail expressions), and Tableau functions.
  • Gather, refine, and translate complex business requirements into reporting solutions.
  • Exhibit advanced statistical and analytical capabilities to derive meaningful insights.
  • Communicate findings effectively through compelling data visualizations and storytelling.

Qualifications:

  • Strong experience in Power BI development.
  • Proficiency in SQL programming, including advanced SQL writing skills.
  • Solid understanding of relational and dimensional data models.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team and provide technical direction.
  • Knowledge of data visualization best practices and user experience design is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, prioritization, and oral/written communication skills.

Good-to-Have Skills:

  • Familiarity with Tableau and Cognos for advanced BI and reporting capabilities.
  • Experience with Tableau, including effective spreadsheet modeling and advanced functionalities (date, string, numeric calculations, etc.).
  • Proficiency in DevOps tools and practices (e.g., Jenkins, Git) with experience in CI/CD pipelines.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
