Carter Machinery Company, the authorized Caterpillar dealer serving Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and Washington D.C. is hiring a Yard Attendant for their Power Systems Rental Division (PSD) in Richmond, Virginia The PSD Rental Yard Attendant position is responsible for loading, unloading, receiving/releasing of all equipment, generators and attachments; maintaining the organization of the yard for easy access; directing the delivery and returns for all equipment. Additional responsibilities include performing basic check-in inspections. Seeking candidates with mechanical aptitude; High school diploma or GED, preferred.

Requirements for the PSD Rental Yard Attendant position include:

• Must be self-directed, organized and be able to interact with coworkers and train new yard attendants.
• Must be able to multi-task.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with ability to prioritize tasks with competing demands.
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Must be able to work additional hours to meet business and customer needs.
• Must have an excellent driving record.

Physical requirements must be met for the PSD Rental Y ard Attendant job, including frequently sitting for extended periods of time. The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
