Super Micro Computer, Inc. is seeking a Power Supply and Power Distributor Board (PDB) Product Manager with expertise in product management to lead end-to-end product management efforts for Supermicro's power products. As a Product Manager, you will define product strategy, develop product road map, identify product requirements, collaborate with product development on implementation with the vender PM and R&D engineering team. You will coordinate from every angle to solve issues and improve PDB quality. This Product Manager position will be part of our power team based out of our headquarter office located in San Jose, CA.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Includes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):
• Perform in-depth research into customer applications and feedback to engineering teams on how to optimize products
• Manage products through their entire lifecycle until product EOL
• Create develop strategy for successful product deployment based on deep understanding of customer requirements
• Coordinate operational activities from product kick-off to product launch. Ensure TTM launches with strong project management skills
• Drive product quality improvement during design and manufacturing stages
• Create positioning statements, marketing, and sales training materials, product specifications
• Conduct competitive analysis and develop ecosystem with partners in the industry
• Drive technical issues to closure by arranging resources and engaging with other engineering team to duplicate and debug
• Serve as third level technical support and provide pre/post-sales support. Manager critical support situations

Qualifications:

• BS/MS in mechanical, electrical, or computer engineering or equivalent is desirable
• 5+ years Power Product Management and Planning experience. Server product or power supply management is a plus
• Strong initiative and ability to work in a self-directed environment
• Demonstrate strong organizational, team player and planning skills
• Demonstrate understanding or how to successfully work in cross-functional organizations
• Ability to lead extended teams and meet deadlines
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills, strong communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation skills), and ability to negotiate effectively
• Excellent knowledge of power supply and PDB and server systems are required

Salary Range

​$115,000 - $130,000

The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
