OF POSITION
This position oversees the City’s electric utility field operations, directing transmission and distribution crews to ensure safe, reliable service for the community.The successful candidate willdemonstratean electrical safety and customer service focus.Working closely with the Energy Services Director, the Power Operations Manager leads utility professionals, supports critical infrastructure projects, and helps shape the future of Richland’s electric system.

SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
This is a full-time, in-person position with a typical Monday–Friday schedule of 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Flexible scheduling options, including a 9/80 schedule with alternating Fridays off or a 410 schedule, may be available.
Final candidate mustestablishand maintainresidencywithin a 30 minute or less response timetodesignatedCity facilities for emergency response.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree with coursework in engineering, business, or related field
Five (5) years of experience in utility operations and electrical distribution or transmission systems
Three (3) years in a supervisory role
Any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities will be considered.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Valid driver’s license
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
Experience leading and supervising employees in a unionized work environment, including labor contract administration and employee relations.
Experience with operations and maintenance of an electric utility distribution system.
Experience developing and managing multi-year capital and expense budgets.
