Job Description

Power Segment Operations Finance Reporting Leader is responsible for providing overall finance leadership in implementing Global Standards and Reporting mechanism across Operations Finance organization (Across Power Segment)

As the Finance Reporting Leader, you will:

· Help design proposal for Global Standards, Reporting mechanism & Tools for the Power Operations Finance team across HDGT, Aero, Steam, Hydro and Nuclear business lines

· Lead & develop processes to simplify and create world class standard processes & policies across multiple ERPs – including reports and tools –

· Translate concepts, develop strategy, implement change, create programs responsive to external environment, and participate in cross-functional business and cultural development.

· Oversee all financial reporting of actuals of project accounting for Power Segment on a monthly and quarterly basis

· Establish process to ensure legal entity financial quality (i.e., documentation for regulatory purposes, cash tax impact implications, etc.)

· Ensure financials of projects are in line with GAAP (e.g., revenue recognition, journal entries, etc.) and compliant with statutory regulations & global accounting policies.

· Lead Monthly and Quarterly Closing activities for Operations Finance organization and facilitate reporting of results by country/region/pole & Business Line

· Develop Analytical Reporting packs for consumption of regional and business line leader including VOP and VPY analysis

· Drive a spirit & letter of excellence in Controllership (e.g., adherence to GE policies, transfer of best practices, internal controls, etc.).

· Champion LEAN culture, lead transformation efforts in alignment with broader finance strategy, guide continuous improvement of processes, & prioritize automation opportunities.

· Identify, recruit, grow, and retain talent with appropriate levels of expertise to deliver on the daily management and/or transformational priorities of the organization.

· Foster strong partnership with and maintain accountability for execution performed by third party vendors on behalf of the Services Operations Finance organization.

Required Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college

· Minimum 8 years of of experience in finance or operations function in progressively larger positions of responsibility

· Minimum 3 years of finance leadership experience

Desired Qualifications:

· CSA, TX, MMP, & Upgrades accounting experience

· Certified Public Accountant/Chartered Accountant preferred

· Direct or indirect leadership of global teams

· Ability to work under tight deadlines and to prioritize under pressure

· Strategic thinker with the ability to create and execute concrete action plans

· Demonstrated adaptability/flexibility: open to change in response to new information, different or unexpected circumstances, and/or ability to operate in ambiguous situations

· Ability to partner with horizontal teams like Pole/ITR Finances, Fulfillment, Operations

· Strong analytical, project management, and organizational skills

· Strong oral and written communication skills

· Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

  • S’assurer de la conformité des états financiers des projets avec les principes GAAP et les exigences statutaires et comptables globales

  • Produire et diffuser les reportings analytiques à destination des responsables régionaux et business lines, incluant les analyses VOP et VPY
  • Renforcer l’excellence en controllership, en veillant au respect des politiques internes, des contrôles et des bonnes pratiques
  • Porter la culture LEAN, conduire les efforts de transformation et identifier les opportunités d’automatisation et d’amélioration continue
  • Identifier, recruter, développer et fidéliser les talents nécessaires à la performance de l’équipe
  • Collaborer étroitement avec les prestataires externes et assurer leur niveau d’exécution

Compétences requises :

  • Diplôme de niveau Bachelor ou équivalent obtenu dans une université ou un établissement reconnu
  • Au moins 8 ans d’expérience en finance ou en operations, avec une progression dans des responsabilités élargies
  • Au moins 3 ans d’expérience en management d’équipe en finance
  • Bonne maîtrise du reporting financier, de la clôture comptable et du contrôle interne
  • Solides compétences analytiques, organisationnelles et de gestion de projet
  • Excellentes capacités de communication orale et écrite
  • Capacité à encadrer, fédérer et travailler en transverse
  • Aisance dans un environnement exigeant, avec des délais courts et des priorités multiples

Compétences préférées :

  • Expérience en accounting CSA, TX, MMP et upgrades
  • Certification CPA ou Chartered Accountant appréciée
  • Expérience de leadership direct ou indirect d’équipes internationales
  • Forte capacité d’adaptation dans des contextes changeants ou ambigus
  • Aptitude à collaborer avec des équipes transverses telles que Pole/ITR Finances, Fulfillment et Operations
  • Esprit stratégique avec capacité à traduire une vision en plans d’action concrets
  • Leadership collaboratif et très bonnes compétences relationnelles
