About the role:

The Power Generation Sales Specialist is responsible for driving growth in NPE’s power generation portfolio. This role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic
partnerships, and managing key client relationships across mining, industrial, and infrastructure markets. You will bring strong technical knowledge of power generation solutions and a proactive, strategic sales approach to expand market share and deliver tailored solutions to customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute sales and business development strategies within the power generation sector.
  • Identify, qualify, and convert new business opportunities, including strategic and high‑value leads
  • Build and maintain long‑term relationships with clients, consultants, and key stakeholders
  • Position NPE as the preferred supplier across target markets
  • Provide technical advice and customised product solutions to meet customer requirements
  • Prepare and present proposals, quotations, and tender submissions
  • Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, operations, marketing) to deliver end‑to‑end solutions
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to inform strategy
  • Achieve revenue and growth targets, including development of long‑term supply agreements
  • Maintain accurate sales, customer, and market intelligence records
  • Ensure a high standard of customer service for internal and external stakeholders
  • Support inventory planning, order processing, and supplier coordination where required
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance business performance
  • Be available outside standard hours when required to manage business‑critical issues

Skills and Experience:

Essential:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in technical or industrial sales
    (power generation or similar preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of diesel generators, hybrid systems, and
    temporary power solutions
  • Proven experience in strategic sales or business development
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and engage senior
    stakeholders
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building
    skills
  • Strong commercial acumen with a solutions‑focused mindset
  • Highly organised, analytical, and results driven
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities
  • Current Driver’s Licence
  • National Police Clearance
  • Based in Kalgoorlie

Desirable:

  • Tertiary qualification in Business, Engineering, Mining, or a related field
  • Previous experience in power generation or adjacent industries
