Job Description

Your Tasks:

  • Define concept and detailed specifications of the Power Converter of the Nordex WTGs based on the Power Electric system specifications.
  • Create converter sub-assemblies design and tests specifications and collaborate with the manufacturers in the validation of the converter parts.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation related to main converter: specifications, manuals, instructions.
  • Support inspections and tests locally in Asian suppliers facilities.
  • Define converter system test specifications and validate results in stand-alone and generator-connected test benches.
  • Support Sourcing department in the identification and validation of converter subcomponents from alternative sources.
  • In collaboration with Auxiliary Power Supply team and/or external suppliers, participate in the definition of the 3D layout of the complete converter and sub-assemblies in Eplan Pro-panel software and the complete electrical design in Eplan P8.
  • Based on Eplan P8 electric design, create the converter design solution structure, upload and maintain the Bill of Materials and related information into the Nordex PLM system.
  • Provide technical support to the WTG certification by preparing whatever technical documentation required by the certification body.

Your Profile:

  • BE / Btech in Electrical Engineering or ME / Mtech in Power System with 5+ years in industry experience in Power Converter Sectors.
  • Wind industry experience or knowledge is preferred
