The Assistant Manager – Business Intelligence is responsible for designing and delivering interactive Power BI dashboards, automated reporting solutions, and executive-level analytics that support strategic decision-making. The role focuses on transforming complex and fragmented data into meaningful business insights through robust reporting frameworks and standardized KPIs. It ensures data quality, governance, and consistency across all reporting platforms while driving automation to improve operational efficiency. The position works closely with Operations, MIS, Account Management, and Leadership teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable analytical solutions. Additionally, the role leads reporting initiatives, mentors BI professionals, and promotes a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Responsibilities Power BI Dashboard Development

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards for operational and strategic reporting.
• Build executive dashboards with drill-down capabilities, dynamic filtering, and self-service analytics.
• Develop standardized dashboard templates and reusable reporting components.
• Optimize dashboard performance, usability, and user experience.
• Implement automated data refreshes and reporting workflows.
• Ensure dashboards provide accurate, timely, and business-relevant insights.

Business Intelligence & Analytics

• Analyze operational, workforce, financial, and performance data to identify trends and opportunities.
• Generate actionable insights and business recommendations for leadership.
• Perform root cause analysis and identify performance improvement opportunities.
• Develop predictive and trend-based analytics to support proactive decision-making.
• Convert complex datasets into meaningful visualizations and business narratives.
• Deliver ad-hoc analysis to support strategic initiatives.

Reporting Framework & Governance

• Design and implement scalable reporting frameworks across business functions.
• Define and standardize KPIs, metrics, reporting methodologies, and data definitions.
• Establish reporting governance to ensure consistency and compliance.
• Drive reporting automation to reduce manual effort and improve efficiency.
• Maintain documentation for reporting processes, dashboards, and governance standards.
• Ensure reporting aligns with organizational objectives and leadership expectations.

Data Management & Quality

• Validate, reconcile, and consolidate data from multiple systems and sources.
• Ensure data accuracy, integrity, completeness, and reliability.
• Establish data quality checks and monitoring mechanisms.
• Promote best practices for data governance and master data management.
• Maintain a single source of truth for enterprise reporting.
• Support continuous improvement of data collection and reporting processes.

Stakeholder Management

• Partner with Operations, MIS, Account Management, WFM, and senior leadership to gather reporting requirements.
• Translate business needs into scalable BI solutions and dashboards.
• Conduct dashboard demonstrations, training sessions, and knowledge-sharing workshops.
• Present analytical findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
• Build strong relationships with business teams to enhance reporting adoption.
• Provide timely support for business-critical reporting and analytical requests.

Team Leadership & People Management

• Lead, mentor, and develop Business Intelligence and reporting teams.
• Allocate workload and prioritize projects to meet business timelines.
• Foster collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning within the team.
• Monitor team performance and ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Identify skill gaps and support capability development through coaching and training.
• Encourage a high-performance, customer-focused, and data-driven culture.

Process Improvement & Automation

• Identify opportunities to automate manual reporting processes.
• Improve reporting efficiency through Power BI, SQL, Excel, and other BI technologies.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across reporting and analytics functions.
• Recommend process enhancements based on analytical findings.
• Support digital transformation and data modernization initiatives.
• Implement best practices for reporting scalability and operational excellence.

Governance, Compliance & Delivery

• Ensure timely delivery of dashboards, reports, and analytical projects.
• Maintain compliance with organizational data security and governance policies.
• Monitor reporting accuracy and resolve data discrepancies proactively.
• Support audit requirements related to reporting and data management.
• Track reporting performance, adoption, and business value realization.
• Stay updated with emerging Power BI features, BI technologies, and industry best practices.
