Job Description

Power BI Developer

  • Hybrid (80-90% remote, 10-20% travel)
  • Looking for candidates in the NJ, NY, PA area
  • Full-time / Direct Hire role (No C2C/C2H or Contract)
  • Visa transfers considered - Must have at least 2 years left on 1st (6) years of H1b Visa eligibility

Our client, a dynamic and innovative consulting firm that specializes in empowering businesses with data-driven insights is seeking a talented Power BI Developer to join their team.

As a Power BI Developer specializing in frontend development and visualization, you will play a critical role in delivering impactful business intelligence solutions to their clients. Your expertise in designing and creating visually compelling dashboards will be essential in providing clients with actionable insights.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with clients to understand their data visualization and reporting needs.
  • Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards that effectively convey complex data in a visually appealing and user-friendly manner.
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications to create data models and visuals.
  • Implement interactive features and drill-down capabilities within Power BI reports.
  • Optimize performance and ensure data accuracy in Power BI solutions.
  • Conduct data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities.
  • Work closely with data engineers and data scientists to ensure seamless data integration.
  • Provide training and support to end-users on using Power BI reports effectively.
  • Stay updated on the latest Power BI features, best practices, and industry trends.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Power BI Developer with a strong focus on frontend development and visualization.
  • Proficiency in creating visually appealing, interactive, and user-friendly Power BI reports and dashboards.
  • Solid understanding of data modeling, DAX calculations, and data transformation within Power BI.
  • Strong knowledge of data visualization principles and best practices.
  • Experience working in a consulting environment and collaborating with diverse clients.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic consulting team.
  • Power BI certification is a plus but not mandatory.
