Role Purpose

The Power BI and Azure Fabric Administratoris responsible fortheDesign,Deployment,Administration,Stability,Optimization,Governance andSecurity & Compliance adherenceoftheMicrosoftPower BI and Azure FabricPlatformbeing used as enterprise Data Analytics andIntelligence Platform of Haleon.

The ideal candidate will bring deepexpertisein Microsoft Power BI, Azure Fabric (Microsoft Fabric), and modern data platform governance, combined with strong stakeholder management skills in a global enterprise environment.ThePower BI and Azure Fabric Administratormanagesand coaches a mid-sized, globally distributed operations team, whilepossessingdeepexpertisein Microsoft Power BI, Azure Fabric (Microsoft Fabric), and modern data platform governance, combined with strong stakeholder management skills in a global enterprise environment.

The role plays a critical part in meeting the organisation’sPower BI and Azure Fabric Strategy,Governance, Risk, Compliance, working closely with Architecture, Engineering, Data Governance,SustainabilityData Product teamsand enterprise stakeholders.

Key responsibilities:

PlatformAdministration andOperations

• Administer and manage enterprise Power BI Service and Microsoft Fabricenvironments.

• Lead and Manage L2/ L3 Operations ofPower BI and Microsoft Azure Fabric Platforms

• Define and enforce governance frameworks including workspace strategy, naming conventions, access controls, and lifecycle management

• Implement tenant-level configurations, security policies, and compliance standards.

• Oversee Premium/Fabric capacity planning, workload management, and performance tuning.

• Ensure high availability, performance, and stability ofenterprise Power BI and Azure Fabric Platform.

• Track& EnsureSLAs, SLOs and KPIs for Platform Operations.

• Incident, problem, change, and release management, applying ITIL best practices.

• Own Problem Management and Root Cause Analysis of Critical and Recurring incidents.

• Drive Operational Excellence and continuous improvement

• Maintain SOPs, Runbooks and Knowledge Repositories.

• Define and executeBackup, Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity strategies for the platform.

• Ensure compliance with security, regulatory, and validation requirementsacross allDataPlatforms

• Plan, Lead and Execute OPEX cost optimization initiatives.

Technical Leadership &Hands‑OnContribution

• Provide technical leadership and directionacrossthe enterprisePower BI and Microsoft Fabric Platforms.

• Contribute directlyina hands‑oncapacitytothe administration,troubleshooting, and optimisation.

• Troubleshoot dataset refresh failures, gateway issues, and report performance bottlenecks.

• Optimizesemantic models and large-scale datasets.

• Lead platform administration activities, including:

• Environment management and monitoring

• Patching and upgrades

• Disaster recovery and resilience planning

• Collaborate with data engineering teams to integrate Azure Data Services (DataFactory,Synapse, Lakehouse, etc.) with Power BI/Fabric.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including infrastructure, security, and analytics for end-to-end platform delivery.

• Support end-to-end data pipelines and ensure seamless data availability for reporting.

• Define standardized onboarding frameworks,checklistsand Runbooks.Strong focus on Service Improvement Initiatives, Quality of Service, Compliance adherence, Security of data and IT resources.

Monitoring and Support

• Ensure 24X7 Monitoring, Alerting and Response

• Set up monitoring frameworks using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Fabric Adminand 3rdparty tools.

• Set up automated alerts and error-handling mechanisms to ensure platform uptime and proactive issue resolution.

• Monitor system usage, capacity, and performance;optimizefor scalability and cost efficiency.

DevOps & Deployment

• Implement CI/CD pipelines for Power BI and Fabric using Azure DevOps or similar tools.

• Manage version control, automated deployments, and environment promotions (Dev/Test/Prod).

• Promote best practices in code management and reusable assets.

People,Vendor& StakeholderManagement

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team ofPower BI & Azure Fabric Platform, including permanent staff, contractors, and strategic partners.

• Ensureappropriate capability, capacity, and skills are in place to meet operational and delivery commitments.

• Manage agency resources and external vendors to ensure high-quality outcomes.

• Foster aperformance‑driven, collaborative culture across globally distributed teams.

• Collaborate with data engineering teams to integrate Azure Data Services (Data Factory, Synapse, Lakehouse, etc.) with Power BI/Fabric.

• Collaborate closely with Data Product &Enterprise Architecture teamsincluding but not limited to Data Architecture, Data Engineering, Sustainability, Cloud PlatformEngineeringand related business owners.

• Partner with business stakeholders across marketing, sales, finance, and supply chain.

• Guide teams on best practices for dashboard design, datamodeling, and performance optimization.

• Conduct training sessions and enable self-service BI adoption.

Security,Risk&GovernanceManag

• Ensure risks and issues related to owned platforms, programmes, and projects are identified, recorded, and actively managed

• Implement andmaintaingovernance, security policies, and audit trail mechanisms across the Fabric environment.

• Conduct regular access audits, review workspace activity, andmonitorcompliance across environments

• Ensure TimelyCommunication to stakeholders during outages, High Impact Incidents and Changes.

• Support governance processes through engagement with Architecture Review Boards andData Architectsacross thedata platform area.

• Ensuring close alignment to internal & external regulatory and compliance requirements,Security,Quality, Governance&with no critical or high findings or violation against them.

Qualifications & Skills:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

Strong experience indeployment, implementation,operationsand service delivery ofAzure Data Platforms

StrongHands-onexpertisein:

• Power BI Services and Azure Fabric Platform Administration

• Proficient in SQL, DAX, and scripting (Python/Shell/PowerShell) for platform automation and analytics

• Excellent knowledgeof Power Bi and Fabric Administration best practices.

• In-depth understanding of ETL/ELT concepts, data ingestion, and transformation withinand outsideFabric

• StrongExperience in performance tuning, system monitoring, and troubleshooting in enterprise environments

• Ability to manage large-scale dataset refreshes, security roles, and workspace permissions

• Expertisein Documentations formaintainingSecurity, Data Lifecycle, Access Management & Publishingstandards.

• Scripting experience for automation tasks (e.g., data extraction, cleanup, monitoring)

• Strong understanding of Data Security, Privacy, Governance and Compliance

• Strong Experience in Incident, Change and Problem Management with ITIL best practices.

Experience Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science or equivalent.

• Minimum 10years’ experiencein Power BI Service and Microsoft FabricAdministration, Technical Service Delivery

• Strong Technical Experience in Power BI Services and Microsoft Fabri

• Goodunderstanding of Azure Cloudand DataPlatform technologies.

• Excellent understanding and proventrack recordof establishing ITIL and Agile principles in a large organization.

• Proven experience managing teamsand leadingenterprise‑scaleData Platform initiatives.

• Experienceoperatingwithin regulated environments with strong understanding ofQuality, DataSecurityand compliance expectations.

• Familiarity with Haleon Quality Systemprinciples, policies, procedures, and standards is preferred.
