Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and clean powder coating booths and equipment to prevent contamination.
Inspect aluminium parts for defects and ensure proper grounding prior to coating.
Operate powder coating equipment, including spray guns, booths, and ovens, applying coatings evenly and to the correct thickness.
Adjust equipment settings based on material type and finish requirements, and accurately record settings.
Apply powder coatings to achieve consistent RAL shades, textures, and finishes.
Perform routine maintenance on equipment, including cleaning and replacing consumables like venturis and nozzles.
Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and liaise with the maintenance team to minimize downtime.
Follow all safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) such as respirators, gloves, and safety glasses.
Maintain a clean and organized work area and adhere to environmental and safety regulations.
Record powder usage, equipment malfunctions, quality issues, and any safety incidents.
Collaborate with production teams to ensure coating schedules are met and production deadlines are achieved.
Aim for zero rejection due to coating defects, high first-pass yield (FPY), and reduction in downtime and customer complaints.
Contribute to achieving daily production targets, including an output of 3.0MT per 12-hour shift, an aluminium-to-powder ratio of 26, and powder recovery over 90%.
