Cavendish Farms Potato Storage in O'Leary, PE is looking for Seasonal Equipment Operator/Labourer for a period of 6+ Months It is a recurring role with being called back annually. Expected start date is beginning of May.

Work Schedule Workers must be available to work up to 12 hours a day, weekdays and weekends in the peak seasons.

Work location: 37288 HIGHWAY 2, Woodstock, O'Leary PE
Wages: $20.26 per hour, OT paid after 48 hours per week.

• Operate potato storage and handling equipment including hog, bin piler, skid steer, forklift, and loader
• Assist with unloading potato storage buildings
• Support potato movement and storage operations during peak periods
• Perform cleaning and sanitation duties, including pressure washing of buildings and equipment after unloading
• Assist with basic equipment care and daily checks
• Follow all safety, food quality, and operational procedures
• Work as part of a team to meet seasonal storage and harvest demands
• Training will be provided for equipment and site-specific processes
• Effectively communicate with coworkers and management to ensure safety and the ability to plan work around harvest operations.
• Contribute to the team’s goals and provide feedback on how to better operations.
• Flexible schedule to accommodate harvest weather windows.
• All other duties as assigned.
  

• Physically fit to stand for extended period of time.
• High level of attention to detail.
• Ability to work in close proximity to moving harvest equipment.
• Experience operating agricultural equipment is an asset. Forklift, skid steer, or loader experience preferred
• Ability to safely lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs on an occasional basis.
• Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Availability to work extended hours, evenings and weekends. The schedule can be up to 14 hours per day, working Saturdays and Sundays.
