Job Description

The Rupprecht lab seeks a postdoctoral researcher to study the role of the gut-brain connection in the effects of alcohol and food intake using genetically-engineered mouse models, biochemistry and mass spectroscopy, ex vivo imaging, and cell-culture models.


Relevant lab experience required.


  • Prior experience with mouse models and survival surgeries. 
  • Extensive microscopy (confocal, spinning disk) and image analysis (Imaris, etc.)
  • Ability to work independently to design and analyze experiments, write grant applications, willingness to read/review manuscripts that will be developed with on-the-job training.
