
The successful candidate will participate in DOD-funded research projects focused on elucidating the molecular mechanisms of metabolic dysregulation in neurodegenerative diseases and developing potential therapeutics. The lab employs an integrated experimental approach, including in vitro cell culture systems, in vivo transgenic animal models, and patient-derived iPSC neurons and glial cells, to investigate disease pathogenesis. In parallel, the laboratory pursues therapeutic development, using rationally designed peptide inhibitors of protein-protein interactions and high-throughput screening strategies to identify nvel treatment approaches for neurological disorders.
