
The Institute of Chemical Research of Catalonia (ICIQ) is seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher to work Prof. Rubén Martín’s group. This position will be funded by the project PID2024-160739NB-I00/MICIU/AEI/10.13039/501100011033 /FEDER,UE and ICIQ.

ICIQ is looking for a postdoctoral researcher in the group of Prof. Ruben Martin. The candidate will focus his/her research on unravelling the potential of metallaphotoredox catalysis to enable a series of unconventional bond-forming reactions for the late-stage diversification of macromolecules.

Requirements
The candidates must have a PhD in chemistry at the time that the contract is initiated.
We are looking for a candidate with a solid and proven track record in Organometallic chemistry, particularly in metallaphotoredox catalysis.
The candidates must submit the following documents: (a) a CV (specifying any relevant experience, along with a detailed description of previous accomplishments); (b) a cover letter highlighting the interest in the position, the reasons for applying to our group, his/her particular strengths & weaknesses, future career plans, hobbies, self-motivation and ability to work on a team; (c) a short description of previous research: (d) names and contact addresses of at least two referees that might be willing to write down a recommendation letter.
Proven good knowledge of English.

Selection Process
ICIQ’s selection process usually entails the following phases:
Pre-selection: The pre-selection process will be based on qualifications and expertise as reflected on the candidates’ CVs. This phase is merit-based.
Interview: Preselected candidates will be interviewed by the Hiring Manager of the position and the appointed Selection Committee.
Offer Letter: Once the successful candidate is selected, the People Unit will extend a Job Offer, specifying the start day, salary and overall job conditions.
