
A postdoctoral training position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Amit Khera and Dr. Serena Rodriguez, in the Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Cardiology at UT Southwestern Medical Center. The successful candidate will join our research team working at the intersection of implementation science and cardiology. The primary focus of this position is to support an NIH-funded implementation science project aimed at improving detection and treatment of Familial Hypercholesterolemia, a common inherited cholesterol disorder that affects approximately 1 in 250 individuals, among blood donors. Our laboratory has an ongoing trial working closely with our community partner, Carter BloodCare, using the blood donation system as a portal of health engagement. The Postdoctoral Researcher will participate in data collection and analysis, preparation and submission of scientific manuscripts, grant writing, and dissemination of study findings.

Candidates must hold a recent Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree. Experience in implementation science leading to publication in peer-reviewed journals is recommended.
