Job Description

A postdoctoral training position Is available in the laboratory of Dr. Philip Shaul and Dr. Chieko Mineo, in the Department of Pediatrics, Center for Pulmonary and Vascular Biology at UT Southwestern Medical Center to study fundamental processes in endothelial cells that govern cardiovascular and metabolic health and disease. Current areas of investigation in Shaul/Mineo Lab include the study of endothelial underpinning of atherosclerosis, endothelial mechanisms contributing to Type 2 Diabetes development, and endothelial basis for thrombotic disorders. Qualifications

We are seeking hlghly motivated candidates with a PhD, MD or MD/PhD. Interested candidates must have 1) a strong background in biochemistry, cell biology, molecular biology, or a related discipline, 2) a solid publication record, and 3) scientific curiosity and the desire and ability to work independently. Experience with genetic mouse models and genomic approaches are a plus.
