
The Department of Surgery invites applications for a postdoctoral position in an NIH-funded laboratory investigating how immunometabolism regulates lung fibrotic disease.
Our laboratory focuses on elucidating the mechanisms underlying lung transplant rejection and interstitial lung disease. A successful candidate will be expected to independently conduct studies using human and mouse tissue specimens and to further develop a human lung chip to study alveolar macrophage and epithelial cell metabolism and differentiation.
A successful candidate will have a Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D. in Immunology, Cell Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field, with at least one first-author peer-reviewed paper. Technical experience requirements include proficiency in flow cytometry, immunoblotting, confocal microscopy, Seahorse assays, handling radiolabeled molecules, and single-cell RNA sequencing. A successful candidate will be expected to draft high-impact papers, be highly collaborative, and be comfortable working with rodent models and human tissues.

Salary Range:
Base pay is commensurate with experience.
