A postdoctoral research associate position is available in the field of insect ecology and pest management within the Department of Entomology at Texas A&M University. Specifically, the individual will co-lead two projects: i) development of an early warning system for fall armyworm infestations in forage crops and turfgrasses, and ii) management of Hessian fly in wheat.
-Conduct laboratory, greenhouse, and field experimental work
-Analyze data, and preparing reports and research manuscripts
-Develop and submit research proposals to funding agencies
-Opportunity to participate in other research projects and mentoring of students
-Ph.D. in Entomology or related disciplines.
-Experience with insect ecology, monitoring, and pest management, and field research.
-Compensation is commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications.
-This position is funded through grants or contracts. Continued employment is dependent upon ongoing funding and satisfactory job performance.
