
The Department of Decision Sciences at IESE Business School invites applications for a postdoc position in behavioral decision research. The postdoctoral researcher will work primarily with Professor J. Müller-Trede on projects in behavioral decision making and decision analysis, including experimental and analytical research on how people form judgments, make choices, and use information and advice.
The position is for two years, with the possibility of an extension subject to performance and funding requirements. It is a full-time, research-only position. The expected start date is September 2026 (flexible).

The postdoctoral researcher will be based in IESE’s Department of Decision Sciences, a leading department of its kind, and will have opportunities to collaborate with faculty within the department as well as with researchers in other departments at IESE.

The city also offers an exceptional quality of life, combining a strong academic community with a rich cultural scene, Mediterranean climate, and easy access to the rest of Europe.
Ideal candidates will have an interest in theoretically grounded behavioral research, as well as strong methodological training, including experience with mathematical modelling, programming, experimental design, and data analysis (in R or Python). A PhD in decision sciences, economics, psychology, or a related field must be completed by the start date. The postdoc will be encouraged to pursue their own research agenda alongside collaborative work.
