Details of Research Project:
The Postdoctoral Research Fellow will participate in various projects, including but not limited to the following topics:
* dyadic and multi-agent interactions
* social learning and decision-making
* social belief inference
* affective experiences
* socioemotional well-being
Technical Duties: (include any protocols)
Developing and running studies
* Developing computational cognitive models
* Programming in Python
* Running analyses on behavioral and/or neural data
* Writing results in publications
Educational and other Requirements for the position:
PhD in Psychology, Neuroscience, Computer Science, Cognitive Science, Electrical or Biomedical Engineering, or other related fields
* Evidence of high-impact peer-reviewed publications in any of the areas above
* Organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
* Computational skills (e.g., prior coursework in mathematics, programming in Python, computational modeling)
* Strong interests in social computational neuroscience, behavioral economics, and/or computational psychiatry
Experience Required:
Experience with neural data collection and/or analysis (e.g., fMRI, intracranial EEG)
* Experience with computational modeling (e.g., Bayesian inference, reinforcement learning)
* Experience with large-online and/or in-person behavioral data collection
* Computer science/IT skills
Goals/Outcomes of the Research Project:
Collecting data for ongoing funded projects (e.g., DP5)
* Pilot data for lab grants (e.g., R01, R21)
* For completed studies, academic research papers reporting the findings
Compensation Statement
The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides salary ranges that comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $74,692.00 - $80,000.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
