About the Role: This is an identified Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander position under section 14 of the NSW Anti-Discrimination Act, 1977.This is a permanent part-time position working approximately 32 hours per week based within the BEST network with a preference for our Tamworth or Broken Hill site.

The Post Placement Officer provides high quality support to their relevant Operations Department. They play a key role in achieving key performance milestones such as Outcomes and Progress Payments, while also ensuring contract delivery and performance requirements are met.

A central focus of the role is to deliver post placement support tailored to each customer’s individual needs. This support is balanced with a strategic approach to maximising sustained employment outcomes and quality of service for our customers.


Key Result Area 1: Collaboration & Relationship Building

Objectives:

  • Proactively collaborate and provide intensive administrative support to assigned Area/ Department.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships, driving active collaboration with relevant internal teams.
  • Liaise with key external stakeholders to ensure high quality customer service is provided.
  • Actively seek team feedback and collaboration opportunities.

Key Result Area 2: Performance Support

Objectives:

  • Provide high quality administrative assistance to support the achievement of key performance requirements in sustained employment. This would include but not be limited to tasks such outcomes payments and progress payment submission.
  • Ensure relevant administration and processing tasks are actioned and completed
    effectively and efficiently.
  • Maintain relevant contractual knowledge to ensure a high-quality standard within
    relevant tasks.
  • Collaborate with relevant site teams and leaders to provide support to maximise progress
    and employment outcomes.
  • Effectively utilise a range of IT systems to support performance achievement, including
    BEST systems and the Department IT System.
  • Support achievement of high performance across relevant external Performance Frameworks
    and internal performance targets.

Key Result Area 3: Customer Service

Objectives:

  • Provide a high level of customer service to both internal and external customers (site teams, caseload customers and employers alike).
  • Routinely provide support to customers to ensure tailored services and support resulting in achievement of long-term employment outcomes and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with site teams to action personalised plans for customers in post placement support including but not limited to mentoring for specialist cohorts, tailored interventions, training and Employment Fund assistance.

About You: 
Skills, Experience and Attributes:

  • Sound knowledge of contract-related financial processing requirements, quality standards and contractual compliance and/or a keen interest to continue knowledge diversification.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills with the ability to multitask.
  • Strong attention to detail and eye for accuracy
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Established interpersonal skills including connection, influence and negotiation.
  • A demonstrated ability to confidently manage conflict and achieve positive outcomes.
  • A demonstrated ability to build, maintain and grow professional relationships with internal stakeholders.
  • Previous experience in administration, customer servicing, financial or compliance role.

Qualifications, Licences and Checks:

  • Relevant qualifications in Employment Services and/or Community Services desired, but not essential.
  • Current Driver’s License (Class C or above).
  • Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
  • Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
