Job Description

Position Title: PGET – Hydraulics (Post Graduate Engineer Trainee)

Department: Engineering / Design / Projects


Role Purpose

The PGET – Hydraulics will support the design, analysis, testing, and implementation of hydraulic systems and components. The role focuses on developing technical expertise in hydraulics while contributing to ongoing engineering projects under the guidance of senior engineers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design and development of hydraulic systems
  • Perform hydraulic calculations, simulations, and performance analysis
  • Support preparation and review of engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents
  • Assist in testing, troubleshooting, and validation of hydraulic systems and equipment
  • Coordinate with manufacturing, quality, and procurement teams for implementation of designs
  • Ensure compliance with engineering standards, safety norms, and quality procedures
  • Prepare technical reports and presentations for internal reviews

Educational Qualifications

  • M.Tech / M.E. in Hydraulics / Water Resource or equivalent

Technical Skills & Knowledge

  • Knowledge of hydraulic systems, pumps, valves, actuators, and circuits
  • Understanding of fluid mechanics, pressure losses, flow calculations, and system efficiency
  • Exposure to CAD tools (AutoCAD, or similar)
  • Familiarity with simulation tools (e.g., AMESim, MATLAB, or similar – desirable)
  • Basic understanding of industry standards and codes related to hydraulics
