Job Description

A Postdoctoral Fellow position is available for highly motivated and productive applicants in the laboratory of Dr. Katherine Aird. The Aird Lab studies the intersection of cellular metabolism and cell cycle regulation in cancer. The lab has a strong commitment to the success of its lab members, is well-funded, and has a vibrant and high-energy research environment. The lab has multiple collaborations both within The Wistar Institute and externally, including at the University of Pennsylvania and Temple University, providing a rich and interdisciplinary training environment.
Candidates should be recent recipients of PhD or MD/PhD (or equivalent) degree or close to obtaining a doctoral degree and must have at least one first author peer reviewed publication. Necessary research skills include standard molecular and cellular biology techniques. Prior experience in mouse models, especially cancer-related, is preferred but not required.
