Job Description

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Manage, clean, harmonize, document, and analyze health-related datasets.

· Communicate research results effectively and actively participate in preparing publication-ready tables, manuscripts, conference abstracts and progress reports.

· Collaborate actively with team members, research staff, students, and external collaborators.

· Perform additional duties and responsibilities as needed, based on the evolving needs of the projects.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

· PhD in one of the fields: nursing, public health, epidemiology, biostatistics, biomedical informatics, data science, psychology, gerontology or any other related fields.

· Expertise in at least one data science software package (e.g., R, Python, SQL), experience in statistical analyses or machine learning techniques and ability to manage/analyze data and interpret the results.

· Excellent written communication skills and strong potential for publications.

· Ability to multitask and adjust project priorities based on project needs.

· Enthusiasm to advance research in aging, ADRD, health services research, and data science.

Preferred

· Experience working with large-scale secondary health datasets, such as electronic health records, claims data, HRS, ADNI, All of Us, or similar aging/health datasets.

· Evidence of experience in quantitative data analysis and reproducible computational research using statistical and programming tools (e.g., R, Python) applied to health or population-based research.

· Project management skills.

Candidate evaluation will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled. The postdoc's term is confirmed to be 1 year, with the following years contingent on available funding and the postdoc’s successful performance. Position is full-time with a hybrid work schedule (in-person and remote), based at Clemson University’s Nursing Building (605 Grove Road, Greenville, SC 29605)
