Title: Post-Doctoral Fellow in Plant Pathology of Ornamental Horticultural Crops Location: Clemson, SC Open Date: June 19, 2025 Close Date: June 30, ,2025 Description: Drs. Faust and Schnabel at Clemson University are seeking applications for a post-doctoral fellow in plant pathology with experience in designing, conducting and analyzing experiments. The ideal candidate would have a strong background in plant pathology and horticulture. The successful candidate will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of researchers on the use of biological controls for botrytis blight management on ornamental horticultural crops. This position will be in the Plant and Environmental Sciences Dept. at Clemson University and will have the responsibility of conducting research to meet the needs of a grant from the American Floral Endowment on the topic of Enhancing the Performance of Biological Control Agents for Botrytis Control. The post-doc will be responsible for leading the research effort, writing project reports, and publishing results in refereed journals. Anticipated start date is August 2025. The appointment will be for one year with options for yearly renewal for up to three years based on performance.
Minimum Requirements: • Completion of a Ph.D. in Plant Pathology • Experience in designing, conducting and analyzing experiments • Be the lead author in at least two refereed publications in plant pathology or horticulture journals.
