Job Description

The Center of Cyber Security, New York University Abu Dhabi, seeks to recruit a postdoctoral associate to work on state-of-art research on security and privacy. The researcher will be mainly based in New York University Abu Dhabi, UAE, and can closely collaborate with researchers from New York University, USA. The ideal candidate will have an excellent knowledge of cyber security and must hold a PhD degree or have submitted a PhD thesis.

Responsibilities of the Position:

Research

• Conduct world class research in systems security and privacy.
• Write research articles and publish work in top-tier conferences and journals.
• Work closely with collaborators (such as government entities and companies) to deliver ground breaking results.

Supervision

• Mentor PhD, master, and/or bachelor students.
• Work with them to improve their research capability.

Service

• Help the center in conducting workshops, conferences, competitions etc. by contributing technically and/or administratively.

Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:

• PhD in computer science/engineering with expertise in a security or privacy research topic.
• Less than 5 years post-receiving the Doctoral degree.
• Excellent analytic, design, and coding skills.
• Excellent communication (both writing and oral) and interpersonal skills.
• Can work independently or in a team.
• Willingness to take initiative.
