POSTDOCTORAL ASSOCIATE

The Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at NYU Tandon School of Engineering is seeking to hire a Postdoctoral Associateto work with Professor Joo H. Kim.

Expectations
The Postdoctoral Associate will conduct research in the area of shoulder arthroplasty (joint replacement) design and biomechanical analysis. The position is immediately available for the duration of one year with a flexible start date and can be renewed based on performance and availability of funds.
Salary:
Salary range - In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the initial annual base salary for this position is $64,063
Candidates should have a PhD in mechanical engineering or a related field. We welcome
applicants with recent PhDs and individuals seeking additional postdoctoral training. Ideal candidates should have an interest and/or experience with mechanisms and mechanical design, computational modeling (including FEA and dynamics simulations), biomechanics, robotics, and applications of machine learning and AI. Candidates will be required to present eligibility to work in the United States.
