A post-doctoral position is available in the Lampe Joint Department of Biomedical Engineering Department, based at UNC Chapel Hill. This research position will lead research in advanced microscopy. Potential projects include super-resolution imaging, light sheet microscopy, and single molecule tracking. Candidates will lead projects, conduct research, mentor junior team members, and write manuscripts, present at conferences, and contribute to grant proposals.
The ability to work as part of a team, to manage multiple projects, and to learn new skills quickly are all important to being successful in this position. Good communication skills and hands-on skills are essential.
Expertise in refractive index-based contrast methods would be preferred; Specific areas of knowledge which will be useful will include biomedical optics, super resolution imaging, adaptive optics, label free microscopy, MATLAB, and/or preclinical studies.
