Professional StaffThis Post Doc Fellow position supports research conducted in Dr. Irina Tikhanovich’s laboratory within the Division of Gastroenterology. The work focuses on investigating the role of epigenetic regulation in the development and resolution of liver diseases.
Job Duties
Research Overview: Design and conduct research studies and interpret data under the mentorship of the Principal Investigator (PI).
Expectations: The Postdoc will be expected to complete research projects under the guidance of the faculty mentor, record and interpret the results of their experiments in an (electronic) laboratory notebook, prepare publication-quality manuscripts (including figures and tables) and publish in peer-reviewed literature. This appointment is time‑limited, consistent with institutional postdoctoral policy.
Compliance Attend and maintain compliance on all orientation and training sessions designated by the University and the Department, understand and follow IACUC and biosafety protocols, and attend departmental seminars and regular lab meetings.

Required Qualifications
Education: Ph.D. in cell biology, biochemistry, or a related field.
Work Experience: Experience in epigenetics, molecular biology and/or protein biochemistry techniques.

Compensation Statement:
The pay range listed for this position is determined by our compensation program using market data and salary benchmarking. A combination of factors is considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, education, experience and training, qualifications relative to the requirements of the position, and funding. At the University of Kansas Medical Center, a reasonable estimate for the starting pay range will be the minimum to midpoint of the posted range, taking into account the combination of factors listed above.
