Join our team! Successful and growing title insurance agency seeks a highly self-motivated, detail-oriented, and experienced Post-Closing/Settlement Coordinator with a positive attitude to be a part of our team.

This is an excellent position for a candidate with experience in any of the following areas: Escrow/Closing, Title, and Post Closing. Qualified candidates must have the ability to multitask, portray excellent verbal and written communication skills and be computer proficient.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare settlement statements for the closing of residential real estate purchase and refinance transactions.
  • Serve as the point of contact for all parties to the transaction including, underwriters, clients and their respective counsel, lenders, brokers and third-party vendors.
  • Confirm financial figures with all parties involved in the closing transactions.
  • Verify wire instructions in accordance with company policies and fraud prevention procedures
  • Analyze and review Purchase/Sale and Escrow Agreements to ensure compliance with all terms and conditions of the same.
  • Prorate Real Estate Tax calculations.
  • Review fully executed closing packages to confirm completeness, accuracy, and compliance with lender and underwriting requirements
  • Audit signed closing documents, including settlement statements, loan documents, and title affidavits
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies, missing signatures, or incorrect information prior to funding and recording
  • Prepare and submit funding packages to lenders for review and authorization
  • Communicate proactively with lenders to obtain timely funding approval
  • Review all recordable instruments (deeds, mortgages, satisfactions, etc.) to ensure accuracy, proper execution, and recordability
  • Coordinate corrections or revisions when necessary
  • Once authorization is received, coordinate with the funding team to initiate disbursements (checks and wires)
  • Ensure funds are disbursed in accordance with the Closing Disclosure/Settlement Statement and lender instructions
  • Maintain accuracy and timeliness in all disbursement activities
  • Review escrow holdback agreements and related documentation
  • Track conditions required for release of escrow funds
  • Evaluate documentation to determine eligibility for release and process accordingly

Requirements:

  • Strong and professional communication skills: written, in person, and on the phone
  • Minimum of at least five years of escrow experience
  • Ability to consistently meet deadlines and demonstrate strong follow through
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of organization skills
  • Must be team oriented with positive attitude
  • Strong client service focus and able to provide excellent customer service
  • Computer competency
  • Able to follow all company procedures and policies including meeting the company customer service expectations

The annual base salary for this position is $54k-64k.
