Could you be the full-time Possession Planner in Toronto, ON we’re looking for?
Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your planning and coordination expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside proactive and collaborative teammates.
You'll play a critical role in ensuring seamless track access and project alignment. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (including internal stakeholders, third-party partners, and clients), resolve access conflicts, and integrate long-term planning timescales with project schedules, among other responsibilities.
You’ll specifically take care of booking work blocks through the Metrolinx Network Access Planning Tool (NAPT) and Vault systems for track access onto the Metrolinx Rail Corridors, but also manage and coordinate the planning of red zone/green zone works using the Metrolinx Hierarchy of Control.
We’ll look to you for:
Collaborating with internal stakeholders and third parties to resolve access conflicts
Reviewing work content with sub-system teams and clients to ensure access plans and requested track protection are suitable for tasks
Supporting the Track Access Manager in ensuring access requirements align with Canadian Rail Operating Rules (CROR) and General Engineering Instructions (GEI)
Representing Alstom at access review, planning, deconfliction, and production meetings
Contributing to the performance, development, and success of regional planning teams
Developing and maintaining strong relationships with Alstom, Metrolinx, and third-party planning teams
Identifying and communicating interface risks and opportunities
Ensuring all Alstom and sub-contractor safe system of work packs meet Alstom’s standards

Familiarity with Delivering Work within Workblocks (DWWW) process (desirable)
Strong numeracy and literacy skills
Proficiency in risk assessment
Excellent presentation and communication skills
Ability to make critical decisions based on evidence

Compensation
The expected compensation for this role is$90,000 – $120,000 CADper year, plus benefits and eligibility for an annual performance bonus. Final compensation will be based on skills, experience, and internal equity.
