Disability ConnectAustralia Pty Ltd is a registered NDIS provider committed to delivering high-quality positive behaviour support services to individuals with disabilities. We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner at Proficient level to join our team as a Team Leader.

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner to lead a developing team of core PBS practitioners who have been fully trained through Specialist Behaviour, for the past 12 months, while simultaneously delivering expert behaviour support
services and setting a benchmark for high-quality service provision.

You will:

  • Lead and mentor a team of Positive Behaviour Support Practitioners
  • Conduct functional behaviour assessments and develop behaviour support plans
  • Support quality assurance and compliance across PBS services
  • Provide supervision and professional guidance to practitioners
  • Work collaboratively with participants, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Promote best-practice Positive Behaviour Support across the organisation
  • Support the reduction and elimination of restrictive practices
  • Ensure compliance with NDIS requirements

You will have:

  • Demonstrated expertise as a Proficient-level NDIS Behaviour Support Practitioner (evidenced through NDIS Commission suitability assessment)
  • Proven experience providing person-centred behaviour support in complex situations with individuals with disability
  • Advanced knowledge and skills across the seven domains of the PBS Capability Framework
  • Experience supervising or mentoring core-level practitioners
  • Tertiary qualification in psychology, social work, occupational therapy, special education, behaviour analysis, positive behaviour support, or a related field or equivalent professional experience demonstrating equivalent competency
