The Field Analyst for POS Systems acts as the operational liaison between site operations, field teams, and the software product team. This role focuses on understanding how the POS system performs in real business environments, identifying process gaps, analyzing transaction data, and driving enhancements that improve usability, operational efficiency, and customer experience.
Core Responsibilities:
Partner with field/site teams to understand how POS systems are used day-to-day and identify pain points relating to workflow, transaction flow, promotions, payment acceptance, and employee usage.
Analyze POS data (transaction times, error rates, voids, downtime, etc.) to identify trends, performance issues, or training gaps across regions.
Conduct field visits to observe how the POS is being used and gather real-world feedback from frontline users.
Translate operational needs into business requirements and recommend system improvements or new feature ideas to the POS product team.
Assist with pilot rollouts and field testing of new POS functionality, documenting results and operational impacts.
Communicate system changes, enhancements, and best practices back to field leaders and store associates.
Support operational readiness for new POS releases by preparing training materials, quick-reference guides, and field communication.
Monitor KPIs such as transaction speed, uptime, return/exchange rates, and recommend data-driven process improvements.
Act as a subject matter expert for the business on how the POS system should support operational objectives.
Ideal Skills & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, engineering or a related field preferred
Experience with car wash industry (field operations) preferred
2+ years of knowledge and experience with enterprise Point of Sale Systems
2+ of knowledge and experience with DRB Systems Point of Sale preferred
Basic knowledge and experience with SQL
Additional Information
This role may require work outside of normal business hours, including evenings and weekends, based on company needs.
This role may also require occasional driving for company business using a company, rental, or personal vehicle.
