Electrification projects within the region are delivered through a portfolio of complex and interdependent projects across multiple sites and execution timelines. The Portfolio Planning Manager is responsible for establishing and maintaining regional portfolio-level schedule governance, delivery visibility, and planning consistency across all projects executed within the region, ensuring that project schedules are credible, aligned with execution strategy, and consolidated into a forward-looking delivery view supporting regional leadership decision-making.
The role provides portfolio-level planning governance and functional coordination of planning activities, ensuring that project planning operates in alignment with the standards, methodologies, and reporting frameworks defined by the Project Controls function while enabling early identification of cross-project risks, delays, and delivery misalignments.
Key Responsibilities
Portfolio Schedule Consolidation & Monitoring
Consolidate key contractual and delivery milestones from project Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) into a portfolio milestone roadmap
Monitor portfolio schedule performance, identifying delays, risks, and cross-project dependencies
Provide consolidated portfolio schedule outlooks to support leadership visibility on delivery timelines
Schedule Governance and Quality Assurance
Conduct schedule governance reviews to ensure compliance with planning standards and contractual milestones
Identify logic gaps, inconsistencies, and risks within project schedules, including critical and near-critical paths
Recommend corrective actions to improve schedule integrity and delivery feasibility
Planning Governance & Portfolio Reporting
Maintain portfolio planning governance frameworks, methodologies, and reporting standards
Produce consolidated portfolio planning reports and dashboards highlighting milestone progress, forecast movements, and key risks
Support consistent application of Project Controls standards across the portfolio
Change, Risk & Scenario Management
Assess schedule impacts from changes, delays, and emerging risks across the portfolio
Support development of mitigation and recovery scenarios to protect key delivery milestones
Evaluate alternative sequencing strategies where required
Contractor, Consortium & Customer Planning Interface
Maintain visibility of planning interfaces across projects, contractors, and consortium partners
Ensure alignment of milestone commitments and planning assumptions across stakeholders
Identify and escalate interface-related risks affecting portfolio delivery
Schedule–Cost Integration & Forecast Alignment
Provide portfolio-level schedule inputs to support cost forecasting and delivery planning
Ensure alignment between schedule assumptions and financial projections
Support integrated schedule–cost performance visibility
Education & Experience Requirements
Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical field
Extensive experience in project planning / scheduling / project controls within large industrial or EPC projects
Experience in Electrification, HVDC, Substations, Grid, Oil & Gas, or major infrastructure projects preferred
Strong expertise in Oracle Primavera P6, including baselines, critical path analysis, and schedule logic structuring
Solid understanding of WBS / CBS structures, Earned Value Management (EVM), schedule risk and change management
Advanced Excel skills; Power BI or similar analytics tools are an advantage
Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work across complex stakeholder environments
Professional certifications (e.g. PMP, PMI-SP, AACE PSP) are an advantage
