About Your Company

Our client is a leading investment firm with a strong track record in fundamental equity strategies. Known for its rigorous research process and collaborative culture, the firm manages concentrated, high-conviction portfolios across global markets. They are seeking an accomplished Portfolio Manager to lead a low-net, long/short equity portfolio focused on global industrials or healthcare

About your role

• Lead a L/S book with a primary focus on:
• Industrials (e.g., machinery, aerospace, automation, infrastructure) or
• Healthcare (e.g., pharma, biotech, medtech, healthcare services).
• Generate alpha through bottom-up stock selection, thematic bets, and catalyst-driven trades while adhering to low-net exposure guidelines.
• Conduct deep fundamental research, including financial modeling, management meetings, and supply chain/regulatory analysis.
• Partner with sector analysts to refine ideas and optimize portfolio construction (position sizing, hedging, risk/reward assessment).
• Clearly articulate investment theses and performance drivers to senior leadership and investors.

What you will need to succeed

• 10+ years total experience in L/S equity investing, with 2+ years in a PM role (or equivalent autonomy over a sleeve of capital).
• Proven track record in either industrials or healthcare, with audited returns strongly preferred.
• Global perspective (US, Europe, Asia) and ability to identify cross-border opportunities.
• Strong technical skills: valuation (DCF, comps), forensic accounting, and short-side analysis.
• CFA/MBA beneficial but not mandatory; intellectual curiosity and sector passion are critical.
