  • Opportunity to lead operational delivery and continuous improvement, supporting high-quality curriculum and student administration outcomes

  • Base Salary $131,108 - $139,487 + 17% superannuation

About the opportunity

As the Portfolio Manager, Academic Model, you will play a key role in overseeing operational administrative support and driving the effective implementation of the University’s Academic Model. You will manage the delivery of core administrative services, provide expert advice on complex issues, and ensure operational practices are aligned with strategic objectives.

You will work closely with leadership and stakeholders across the University to optimise workflows, enhance service delivery, and continuously improve processes supporting curriculum and student lifecycle administration.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • manage delivery of administrative services including deployment planning, curriculum management activities, and service performance tracking

  • provide expert advice to resolve complex operational and policy-related issues

  • lead continuous improvement of processes, procedures, and service delivery approaches

  • contribute to development and implementation of strategic and operational plans

  • lead, coach, and develop a team of curriculum administration staff to achieve high performance outcomes

  • manage staff performance, capability development, and workforce planning activities

  • ensure accurate record management and delivery of reporting and analysis to support decision-making

  • build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships across faculties and professional units

  • drive collaboration and resolve issues impacting operational efficiency and student experience

  • deliver projects aligned to operational and strategic priorities.

About you

  • demonstrated experience leading administrative operations and managing high-performing teams

  • extensive experience within a tertiary or complex organisational environment

  • strong knowledge of academic administration, policies, and procedures

  • proven ability to resolve complex issues and provide expert operational advice

  • experience developing and improving processes, systems, and service delivery models

  • strong stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and influencing skills

  • demonstrated experience in reporting, data analysis, and performance monitoring

  • excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
