About the Role

Babcock is growing, and we’re looking for a Procurement Portfolio Manager to support our expanding operations in Western Australia. Reporting to the Regional Supply Chain Operations Manager, this is a high‑impact role where you’ll shape procurement strategy, lead sourcing activity, and influence how we partner with suppliers across the region.

As the Portfolio Manager, you’ll work closely with senior stakeholders to understand business needs and turn them into smart, future‑focused procurement strategies that deliver value, service excellence and strong commercial outcomes. You’ll provide insight into supplier markets, guide sourcing decisions, and ensure RFx activity aligns with strategic direction.

You’ll also lead a team of Procurement Managers and Specialists, driving best practice across sourcing, supplier performance, contract management and Supplier Relationship Management. Your ability to build strong relationships — internally and externally — will be key to managing complex programs, negotiating effectively, and supporting Babcock’s long‑term objectives.

To be successful, you will bring:

  • Australian Citizen with a Defence security clearance (or the ability to obtain one).
  • Tertiary qualifications in Procurement, Supply Chain or Business Management.
  • Extensive sourcing, category management and procurement experience.
  • Advanced influencing, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and build effective business relationships with diverse groups of people.
  • Strong leadership capability with proven abilityin cross‑functional project delivery, change management and project management.
