Job Description

We are seeking a strategic business analyst experienced as a Strategic Portfolio Manager to facilitate the intake, assessment, and balancing the demand of our portfolio-level initiatives (enterprise). The ideal candidate has a strong background in fintech and SaaS, and a proven ability to improve and streamline the demand management process. This role will be crucial in ensuring that all new initiatives are strategically aligned, properly scoped, and well-understood before they are committed to a delivery pipeline. This position will be a member of the Value Management Office, and work in close collaboration with the Portfolio Delivery Manager, Release Manager, and several Product Operations roles.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

• Lead demand intake for portfolio-wide initiatives, aligning product operations, business leaders, and teams to identify and capture strategic opportunities
• Lead the shaping, refinement, and analysis of new portfolio initiatives, ensuring requests are clearly defined, strategically aligned, and ready for prioritization
• Support portfolio leaders and product operations in prioritization by facilitating evaluation, ensuring initiatives are properly sized, and enabling data-driven sequencing and investment decisions
• Manage the upstream portfolio Kanban (demand funnel, analysis, backlog), ensuring all initiatives are accurately captured, tracked, and visible to stakeholders
• Continuously improve and streamline demand management processes by challenging the status quo and introducing innovative approaches to enhance efficiency and stakeholder satisfaction
• Leverage fintech and SaaS experience to align epic demand with key business priorities, including growth, retention, and scalability
• Deliver clear, actionable reporting on the demand pipeline using tools like Jira Align, Jira, and engineering intelligence platforms to provide insights on flow, intake trends, and strategic alignment

What we expect from you:

• Proven experience in a demand management, product management, or portfolio management role
• Relevant experience in a fast-paced fintech and SaaS environment
• Extensive hands-on experience with lean-agile portfolio management tools like Jira Align, including enterprise Kanban management
• Proven track record of driving process improvements and innovation in demand management
• Deep understanding of the Product Development Lifecycle (PDLC) in regulated environments
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence expectations
• Highly analytical, using data and metrics to assess value, risk, and strategic alignment
• Experienced in facilitating prioritization and estimation for large-scale initiatives
