Worley Consulting is currently seeking to fill the position of Portfolio Director SSA – Ports & Marine for our Ports & Marine Service Line in the EMEA Region. Reporting to the Director for Ports & Marine the incumbent will be responsible for the business growth and project performance throughout the Sub-Saharan Africa region

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Grow expert Ports & Marine Consulting & Engineering services in Sub-Saharan Africa to target industrial clients, project developers and financiers around master planning, transaction advisory, feasibility studies, conceptual designs and combined management and technical advisory solutions;

· Contribute to local and regional Business Development Strategy

· Interface with broader business development and operations teams to grow contacts

· Have responsibility for SSA delivery of Ports & Marine portfolio of projects calling on regional resources.This may involve managing projects or managing project managers depending on the size and nature of the projects

· Develop and support proposals

· Contribute to Ports & Marine projects outside of SSA, as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Preferably more than 15 years (10 years minimum) relevant experience in the Ports Consulting & Engineering Industry;
  • BEng (Hons) in Civil Engineering or Similar
  • Chartered Status or similar preferred
  • Excellent Written and Spoken English.
  • Have experience in business development and sales in South Africa
  • Project management skills
  • Ability to travel within the SSA region
  • Collaborative worker
