Position Details:
We’re looking for a proactive, highly organised, and experienced PMO Manager to provide the control tower for the Chubb Life Technology portfolio. This role will strengthen governance discipline across strategic initiatives, tactical market deliveries, BAU projects, product launches, regulatory change, infrastructure modernisation, and cybersecurity investments by ensuring that portfolio information is accurate, comparable, timely, and decision ready.
You will administer and support Clarity and Jira, maintain reporting alignment across systems, and ensure project managers comply with agreed governance, financial, delivery, and control requirements. The role is accountable for creating a single source of truth for project status, Capex utilisation, risks, dependencies, milestones, delivery health, and governance progress so that senior stakeholders have clear visibility from investment decision through to delivery execution.
What you'll do
Own the PMO control framework for the Technology portfolio, ensuring consistent governance, reporting standards, data quality, and delivery discipline across all in-scope projects and programmes.
Manage portfolio reporting for Capex investment spend, covering strategic business initiatives, tactical local market deliveries, BAU project delivery, new products, regulatory change, infrastructure projects, and cybersecurity investments.
Administer and support Clarity and Jira, ensuring project records, plans, milestones, financials, RAID items, dependencies, and status updates are complete, current, and aligned across systems.
Operate Clarity reporting controls for projects impacting Capex spend, including validation of project setup, lifecycle status, funding classification, forecast accuracy, actuals alignment, and timely update compliance.
Produce executive-level portfolio dashboards that provide one integrated view of delivery health, Capex performance, investment utilisation, risks, issues, dependencies, milestones, and escalation points.
Track budget, forecast, actuals, and variances; highlight financial risks early and ensure project managers provide credible commentary and remediation actions.
Monitor project status discipline, including schedule adherence, milestone slippage, decision logs, open actions, aging risks and issues, dependency ownership, and overdue governance artefacts.
Support architecture and technology governance reporting by tracking TSG gate progress, architecture review status, required approvals, and outstanding control actions.
Prepare materials for portfolio governance forums, steering committees, and executive reviews, including agenda inputs, packs, action logs, decision records, follow-ups, and escalation summaries.
Chase updates from project managers and delivery leads, challenge incomplete or inconsistent submissions, and escalate non-compliance where reporting standards are not met.
Maintain PMO templates, reporting calendars, governance artefacts, portfolio taxonomies, dashboard definitions, and standard operating procedures.
Identify opportunities to improve PMO processes, reporting automation, dashboards, controls, data quality, and portfolio governance effectiveness.
How you'll lead
Set clear expectations for reporting quality, financial discipline, governance compliance, and timely updates across project managers, delivery leads, and market teams.
Create transparency by maintaining a reliable portfolio view that enables senior leaders to understand delivery health, investment performance, risks, dependencies, and required decisions.
Challenge weak or incomplete reporting constructively, ensuring project teams provide evidence-based updates, clear variance commentary, and practical recovery actions.
Drive disciplined use of Clarity and Jira so that systems are treated as governance tools and not merely administrative repositories.
Support one integrated governance cadence across Technology and Transformation by providing consistent portfolio information, clear decision records, and structured follow-up.
Operate with credibility and independence, escalating delivery, financial, or compliance concerns early while maintaining strong working relationships with stakeholders.
What you’ll bring
Strong experience in PMO, portfolio governance, project controls, and executive reporting in a complex, multi-market technology environment.
Hands-on experience administering Clarity and Jira, including project setup, status reporting, financial tracking, workflow discipline, and data quality controls.
Strong understanding of Capex governance, budgeting, forecasting, actuals tracking, variance analysis, and investment reporting.
Experience producing portfolio dashboards, project health reports, steering committee packs, governance summaries, and executive decision materials.
Experience with RAID management, dependency tracking, milestone governance, stage-gate controls, and technology governance processes such as architecture or TSG reviews.
Ability to enforce standards, challenge poor-quality updates, follow up persistently, and escalate gaps in a structured and professional manner.
Excellent organisational, communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage confidently across regional, market, technology, finance, and transformation teams.
Strong English communication skills, including the ability to write concise executive updates for stakeholders from different markets, functions, and language backgrounds.
A structured, rigorous, proactive, and detail-oriented approach, with a clear bias for accuracy, follow-through, and continuous improvement.
Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, and analytical skills, with the ability to turn complex project and financial data into clear management insight.
Proficiency with common AI productivity tools, including Microsoft Copilot and similar platforms, to accelerate creation of executive artefacts, portfolio summaries, governance materials, dashboards, and structured management updates while maintaining accuracy, confidentiality, and professional quality.
Experience working in a large global, multi-market, regulated environment, including flexibility to support stakeholders across different time zones.
